Vision
We, the Almeria Middle School Learning Community believe in:
- Establishing a safe, clean respectful and nurturing environment for all students and staff
- Offering a positive atmosphere where every student has the opportunity to learn
- Providing a rigorous, standards-based curriculum
- Assessing academic growth through the mastery of California grade-level standards using common assessments and multiple measures
- Creating a strong parent-teacher partnership in each child's education

2008-2009:
Language Arts
- A minimum of 57% (195 students) of all students scoring basic on their 2007-2008 California Standards Test in Language Arts will score proficient on the 2008-2009 California Standards Test.
- A minimum of 55% (157 students) of all students scoring in the below basic and far below basic level on the 2007-2008 California Standards Test in Language Arts will increase their overall scaled score at least one level on the 2008-2009 California Standards Tests.
- All students scoring proficient or advanced on the 2007-2008 California Standards Test in Language Arts will sustain or increase their scaled score on the 2008-2009 California Standards Test.
Math
- A minimum of 65% (218 students) of all students scoring basic on their 2007-2008 California Standards Test in Math will score proficient on the 2008-2009 California Standards Test.
- A minimum of 34% (106 students) of all students scoring in the below basic and far below basic level on the 2007-2008 California Standards Test in Math will increase their overall scaled score at least one level on the 2008-2009 California Standards Tests.
- All students scoring proficient or advanced on the 2007-2008 California Standards Test in Math will sustain or increase their scaled score on the 2008-2009 California Standards Test.
