Power Word of the Week
The power word of the week is SUMMARIZE. Summarize means "to back up with details." To earn a dolphin dollar see Mr. Fromm at lunch or during passing period and tell him the word, definition, and use it in a sentence.
Black History Day
In celebration of black history month, Almeria proudly welcomed "Ise Lyfe" to our campus. Ise Lyfe" is a renowned spoken word/poet. He has traveled around the United States and abroad to other countries displaying his talents. He is from the Bay area (Oakland, California) and has been honored for his work with middle school, high school, and college students. He has been seen on HBO and has shared the stage with many notables in the hip-hop/R&B music genre. If you would like to read an in-depth bio of his life and works, please go to the following link: http://www.speakoutnow.org/userdata_display.php?modin=50&uid=422
